ചുമരിലെ ക്ലോക്കിൽ സമയം ഒന്നടിച്ചു. പുസ്തകം വായിച്ചിരുന്നപ്പോൾ സമയം പോയതറിഞ്ഞതേയില്ല. തുറന്നുകിടന്ന ജനാലക്കുള്ളിലൂടെ തണുത്ത കാറ്റ് അകത്തേക്ക് അടിച്ചുകേറുന്നുണ്ട്. ജനാല അടക്കാൻ നേരം ഞാൻ അല്പസമയം പുറത്തേക്കു നോക്കി നിന്നു. പുറത്തു സ്ട്രീറ്റ്‌ലൈറ്ററുകൾ ഒന്നുപോലുമില്ല. കുറ്റാകുറ്റിരുട്ട് മാത്രം. നാഗലിംഗ പൂവിന്റെ ഗന്ധം കാറ്റിലാകെ പരന്നിരുന്നു. പൂട്ടിക്കിടന്ന ആ നാലുകെട്ടിന്റെ മട്ടുപ്പാവിൽ ഒരു ബൾബ് പെട്ടെന്ന് കത്തിയണഞ്ഞോ??? അതോ എനിക്ക് വെറുതെ തോന്നിയതാണോ??? Seems like my mind had already started playing games with me.
